Request for Bids: Lovely Road Bridge

The Town of Cabot is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: FEMA CONTRACT 1- LOVELY ROAD, BRIDGE 25
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Town Municipal Offices located at 3084 Main Street, Cabot, Vermont 05647, until October 30, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The final decision on award will be completed by the Selectboard at a subsequent meeting.

The Project includes the following Work:
Removal of existing concrete bridge, installation of concrete foundation, precast concrete arch structure with precast headwalls/wingwalls, rock armoring, roadway construction and associated work. The Project has a contractual duration of 90 days to substantial completion (excluding structure procurement). The construction cost estimate range is $1,000,000 to $1,600,000.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents:

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:
East Engineering, PLC Richmond, Vermont

Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Pre-bid Conference:
A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on October 20, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the Lovely Road Site (approximately 200 yards south of the intersection with Old Route 2/44.360736, -72.277340). Bids will
not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference.
